The AirTAC GFR400-10G AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in G Thread is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in one body. This size-400 unit is built around a 3/8 in G (BSPP) port. Filtration is the standard 40 um element, condensate leaves through the differential-pressure drain in the PC bowl, and outlet pressure is set anywhere in the 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range. A round gauge reading in psi is fitted so the setpoint is visible at a glance, and the built-in reverse (check) valve holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is lost. No mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR400 series. The GFR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, gauge style and scale, and an optional reverse valve. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for a bench or floor-mounted pneumatic press: the 40 um element keeps wear particles out of the cylinder and valve, while the regulator holds a repeatable setpoint so forming and staking forces stay consistent.
Point-of-use conditioning on a cartoning or wrapping line: filtered, pressure-stabilised air to actuators and grippers, with the check valve holding the circuit's pressure during brief upstream dips so the cycle is not interrupted.
A 3/8 in G-thread conditioning drop feeding an assembly cell's air tools and fixtures: the differential-pressure drain clears collected water, and the psi gauge lets operators verify and lock in the working pressure the cell was set up with.
Start with the port: this unit is 3/8 in G-thread, so match it to the line size your machine or manifold actually uses, and step up a size (GFR600) if your air demand is heavier - the right size depends on flow, which we confirm from the datasheet on request. Choose the drain next: differential-pressure (this unit) bleeds condensate as pressure drops across the element, while automatic (A) drains hands-free and manual (M) gives operator control. Filtration is 40 um as standard; specify the W code if you need 5 um for finer protection. Gauges come as an embedded square unit or an external round unit with MPa, psi or bar scales - this one is a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as the AirTAC standard, with G and NPT as order options; brackets are optional (this configuration ships without one). Before ordering, send us your flow requirement so we can check the published curve against your application.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR400 flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your air consumption and working pressure and we will confirm the datasheet curve against your application on request - that is the honest way to size between GFR300, GFR400 and GFR600.
This unit has a differential-pressure drain: condensate collected in the PC bowl is discharged automatically as the pressure differential across the filter element changes, with no operator action. Choose the A code if you want a fully hands-off automatic drain, or the M code for a manual drain you control - the regulation range also differs, with manual-drain versions adjustable from 0.05 MPa while this differential-pressure unit adjusts from 0.15 MPa (20-130 psi).
