The AirTAC GFR400-10G AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10G is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size 400 unit carries a G3/8 (BSPP) port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and the standard 40 um filter element. The regulator is the low-pressure type, and the fitted square gauge reads in psi. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and the mounting bracket is included. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see condensate level at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option, alternative gauge scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated low-pressure air to clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture, with the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the clamping circuit between cycles.
Sits at the drop of a packaging conveyor to condition and regulate air for grip, seal and divert cylinders, with the psi gauge giving operators a visible setpoint.
Prepares and regulates air for pick-and-place and screwdriver tooling in a small assembly cell, with the check valve helping hold the downstream circuit if supply dips.
Size 400 with a G3/8 port suits lines whose air demand sits in the mid-flow band; step up or down a size if your consumption is clearly above or below what the port can serve, and we will confirm the flow curve against your application. Choose the drain to match maintenance reality: automatic (as here) for unattended duty, manual where an operator drains routinely, or differential-pressure as the default. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W option for 5 um where finer filtration matters. The square gauge is fitted here reading psi; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is standard and NPT is an order option. A bracket is included. Note this is the low-pressure regulator type, so have us confirm its adjustment range from the datasheet before you lock in a setpoint.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your air consumption and pressure requirements and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and sizing for the G3/8 size 400 unit before you order.
The code carries the L position, so the regulator is the low-pressure type rather than the standard type; its exact adjustment range is not published in our sheet, so ask us to confirm it from the datasheet. The A position means the bowl drain is automatic: condensate collected by the 40 um filtration stage is expelled without an operator having to open a manual drain.
