The AirTAC GFR400-10G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10G is an AirTAC filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation in one body. This size 400 unit has a G3/8 (BSPP) port, a manual drain for periodically emptying the PC (polycarbonate) bowl, and a standard 40 um filter element. The standard-type regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and an external round gauge scaled in psi is fitted so the set pressure can be read directly. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, and 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filter grades. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for a pneumatic press or clamping fixture, with the psi gauge letting operators set and verify the clamping pressure at the machine.
Feeding filter-regulated air to the cylinders and diverters on a packaging or bottling conveyor, with a manual drain tied into end-of-shift maintenance.
A bench or lab compressed-air drop where instruments need moisture and particulate removed and a stable, readable set pressure at 3/8 in supply.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the GFR range - step up to 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the air demand of the circuit. This unit carries the M code, so the bowl drain is manual: an operator must open the drain periodically, which suits lines with scheduled maintenance; choose automatic (A) or differential-pressure drain if manual attention is not practical. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify W for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. Thread: PT is the standard, G (BSPP, as on this unit) and NPT are order options. The J code means no mounting bracket is supplied; brackets are optional. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can honestly quote. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR40010MJC2G means the PC bowl has a manual drain that an operator opens periodically to remove collected condensate. Automatic (A) and differential-pressure (blank) drains are catalogue options on the same size if you prefer a drain that works without manual attention.
