The AirTAC GFR400-10JF1WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10JF1WTK is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of drain types, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the tool-clamp and pallet-change circuits of a CNC machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting tight-tolerance valves from particles and the check valve holding downstream pressure if the main supply drops.
Sits ahead of the directional valves on a pneumatic clamping press, filtering line water and holding a steady set pressure so clamp force stays consistent from stroke to stroke.
Prepares air for the cylinders and grippers on a carton packaging line, removing condensate and 5 um-scale particles while the regulator keeps actuator speed predictable across the shift.
Size and port set the capacity envelope: the 400 frame with a 3/8 in NPT port sits mid-range in the GFR line, one step above the 300 series. Because flow is published only as curves and not as a single rating, ask us to check the curve against your required air consumption before you order. The 5 um element (code W) suits downstream equipment that is sensitive to finer particles; the standard grade is 40 um if your line does not need the finer element. The differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default and needs no operator action; automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are alternatives in the family. The fitted square gauge reads in MPa; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are options. NPT is the thread on this unit; PT (standard) and G are orderable alternatives. A mounting bracket (code J omits it) can be added if you need panel or wall fixing.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure. Send us your operating pressure and required air consumption and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The W code in GFR400-10JF1WTK selects the optional 5 um filtration grade; the family default is 40 um. Choose 5 um when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer particle removal. The differential-pressure drain, square MPa gauge, NPT thread and fitted check valve are the other decoded choices on this unit.
