The AirTAC GFR400-10LJC1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series combines air filtration and pressure regulation in a single body: compressed air passes a filter element that removes water and particulate, then a regulating valve that sets the downstream pressure. This unit is the size 400 frame with a 3/8 in NPT thread, the finer 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain, the low-pressure regulator type, and a round pressure gauge reading in MPa. It is supplied without a mounting bracket, and the polycarbonate bowl lets you see accumulated condensate at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans four sizes (200, 300, 400 and 600) with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is configurable by drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grade (40 um standard or 5 um), gauge style and scale (MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a welding or machining cell, clean 5 um air held at a steady low pressure keeps pneumatic clamps consistent through the shift, with the differential-pressure drain clearing condensate as demand drops.
A bottling or chemical line actuating diaphragm valves needs filtered, regulated supply air - the low-pressure regulator type and MPa-reading round gauge suit actuator supply settings.
On a carton-forming conveyor line, this 3/8 in filter regulator feeds cylinder circuits where the 5 um element protects directional valve seals and the round gauge gives a clear MPa setpoint.
Choose the size by the flow your line needs: the 200, 300, 400 and 600 frames step up in port and capacity, and this unit is size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port. Drain options are differential-pressure (as fitted here, which discharges condensate as the pressure differential rises), automatic, or manual. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um; this unit carries the 5 um element for finer protection of downstream equipment. Gauge choices are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales - this configuration has a round MPa gauge. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as orderable options; this unit is NPT. A bracket is optional and omitted here. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port size, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The W code selects the finer 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard, giving finer protection for sensitive downstream equipment. The blank drain position is the differential-pressure type, which discharges condensate when the pressure differential rises; automatic and manual drains are orderable alternatives.
