The AirTAC GFR400-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 1/2 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit is supplied with a 1/2 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in bar, and a reverse/check valve fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. With the manual drain, the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain, filter-grade, gauge, thread and bracket options to match the application. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your operating conditions on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted ahead of a stamping or forming press, the unit dries and cleans the supply air, then holds a set working pressure to the press cylinders while the manual drain lets maintenance bleed accumulated condensate at shift checks.
On cartoning and wrapping lines with many small actuators, the 40 um element protects valves from water and debris, the regulator sets a stable line pressure, and the bar-scaled gauge gives operators a quick visual reference.
Feeding grippers, clamps and air cylinders in a robotic assembly cell, the unit combines filtration and regulation in one body, and the fitted check valve holds the set downstream pressure if the upstream supply dips.
Start with the size and port: 200, 300, 400 and 600 step up in port and flow capacity, so size the unit against the air demand of the circuit it feeds - this 400 unit carries a 1/2 in NPT port. Then decide the drain: manual (as fitted here) suits points where an operator can bleed the bowl on a routine; automatic or differential-pressure drains suit unattended installations. Filter grade is 40 um standard, with 5 um (code W) where finer filtration is needed. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar (this unit is bar), and thread can be PT (standard), G or NPT - order the code that matches your piping. A bracket is included with this unit.
One honest note before ordering: AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you commit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your inlet pressure and the air demand of your circuit and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR40015MF3TK specifies a manual drain bowl: condensate collects in the polycarbonate bowl and is bled by hand during routine checks. If the installation is unattended, the same GFR400 size can be ordered with an automatic or differential-pressure drain instead - note the adjustment range differs: 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain, 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with automatic or differential-pressure drain.
