The AirTAC GFR400-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/2 in PT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15 is an AirTAC filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body. This configuration is a 1/2 in PT-threaded unit with a manual drain (code M), the standard 40 um filter element, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse (check) valve that holds downstream pressure if the supply drops. No mounting bracket is included (code J). The manual drain is opened by hand, so it suits installations where the bowl is checked as part of a routine. The regulating range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain choices (manual, automatic or differential-pressure), a 5 um element option (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and G or NPT thread options to order. Rated flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet numbers for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Size and port are the first decision: GFR400 with a 1/2 in PT port sits in the middle of the 200-600 range, and the right step depends on the flow your line needs - we can check the published flow curves against your demand before you order. Drain type is a real choice: this unit is manual drain (code M), where an operator drains the bowl by hand; automatic or differential-pressure drains suit unattended installations. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W option for 5 um filtration. The fitted round gauge reads in psi (scales 1/2/3 = MPa/psi/bar are decodable at order time). Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and code J means no mounting bracket. Because rated flow is published only as curves, ask us to confirm sizing against the application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this 1/2 in unit before you order.
Code M means the bowl is drained by hand, which suits attended installations with routine checks. The GFR family is also available with automatic (code A) or differential-pressure (blank) drains - ask when ordering. This unit carries the standard 40 um element; the 5 um W option is also available.
