The AirTAC GFR400-15AJF2GK AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single body, so one 1/2-inch (G1/2) connection does both jobs. This configuration is fitted with an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, an embedded square pressure gauge reading in psi, and a reverse (check) valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. It is ordered without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl on this size is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and is available with manual or automatic drains, a 5 um optional element (code W), gauge or no-gauge builds, MPa/psi/bar gauge scales, PT, G or NPT threads, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the tool-change clamps and pneumatic actuators on a CNC machining centre, with the automatic drain clearing condensate between shifts on a machine that runs unattended.
Supplies clean, regulated air to the divert gates, clamp cylinders and sealing heads on a food or carton packaging line, where the 40 um element protects valves from water and particulate carryover.
Installed at the drop leg of an automated assembly cell to regulate air to grippers and press cylinders, with the reverse valve holding the set pressure at the cell if the main supply is interrupted.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with a G1/2 (1/2 in) port; if your line needs a smaller or larger connection, the same function is available in sizes 200, 300 and 600. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic (this model) suits installations that are not checked daily, manual suits attended setups, and the differential-pressure default drains only when the pressure drop warrants it. Filter grade is 40 um standard here; specify the W code if you need 5 um. Gauge scale is psi on this build, with MPa and bar scales available, and an external round gauge is an alternative to the embedded square gauge. Thread is G (BSPP) on this model; PT is the standard thread and G or NPT are order options. Brackets are optional (this unit is ordered without one).
Before ordering, note that AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated number. Send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet on request.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code means the bowl drains itself: collected condensate is ejected automatically when the level or differential reaches the trigger point. Choose automatic for installations that are not visited daily; choose manual (code M) where an operator can bleed the bowl, or the differential-pressure default where draining only on a set pressure drop is acceptable.
