The AirTAC GFR400-15ALJF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15ALJF2TK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port, automatic drain (code A), the standard 40 um filter element, the low-pressure regulator type (code L), an embedded square gauge scaled in psi (code F2), and a reverse/check valve fitted (code K). No mounting bracket is included (code J). The bowl on the 400 size is polycarbonate (PC); only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is offered in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, PT, G or NPT threads, and gauge or no-gauge options. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditions and regulates the air feeding a pneumatic press or stamping station: water and swarf are drained from the supply and the downstream pressure delivered to the press valves is held steady, with the check valve holding the set circuit if the upstream supply is interrupted.
Sits at the air inlet of a CNC machining centre or grinding machine, filtering condensate and pipe scale out of the shop air and regulating the pressure feeding tool changers, clamps and air bearings on a 1/2 in supply line.
Feeds the cylinder and gripper manifold on a packaging or bottling line: the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the actuators during continuous shifts, and the low-pressure regulator holds the gentle pressure that carton-forming and pick-and-place motions need.
Pick the size and port against the flow your line needs: this unit is the 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port. Drain choice matters in service - differential-pressure (default), automatic (this unit, code A) or manual (M); the automatic drain discharges condensate without operator attention. Filtration is the standard 40 um element; specify W for the 5 um grade where finer filtration is required. The regulator here is the low-pressure type; its set range is confirmed from the datasheet on request. This unit carries no mounting bracket (code J). Threads are PT as standard with G and NPT as order options - this unit is ordered in NPT. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the correct size and the flow figures from the datasheet on request.
Code A specifies the automatic drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is discharged without manual intervention, which suits unattended or continuous-duty installations. The GFR family is also available with a manual drain (code M) or the differential-pressure drain (blank, the default) as order options.
