The AirTAC GFR400-15C2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15C2T is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size-400 unit has 1/2 in NPT ports, a 40 um standard filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as pressure drops, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the polycarbonate bowl is supplied with a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, optional 5 um filtration (code W), automatic or manual drains, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, and gauge or no-gauge variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for a bench or floor-standing pneumatic press, where the 1/2 in ports keep the press cylinder fed without starving the stroke and the psi gauge lets operators set working pressure at the machine.
Point-of-use filtration and regulation for a packaging or cartoning line, protecting actuators and diverters from water and scale while holding a stable setpoint; the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving without operator rounds.
Installed at a drop from a plant air main to feed a work cell, combining water and particulate removal with a set regulated pressure for the cell's valves and cylinders, with the round psi gauge readable at a glance.
Size and port set the capacity: the 400 size with 1/2 in NPT ports suits lines where 1/4 or 3/8 units would restrict flow, but the right step depends on your air demand. Choose the drain type for the installation: differential-pressure (this model) self-drains with flow, automatic drains on a timer-free cycle, and manual requires periodic operator action. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify 5 um (code W) where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are decodable choices, and a bracket is included.
One honest note before ordering: AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated figure, so we cannot quote a rated flow number. Ask us to confirm sizing against your application and we will pull the datasheet curve for you.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the appropriate size from the datasheet curve on request before you order.
This model has a differential-pressure drain: collected condensate is discharged automatically when the pressure differential across the drain reaches its threshold, so it suits lines with regular air flow. For intermittent-flow installations, an automatic drain (code A) or a manual drain (code M) may be the better choice - both are available in this series.
