The AirTAC GFR400-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 Square psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15G is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size 400 unit is fitted for 1/2 in G (BSPP) threads, carries the standard 40 um filter element, and has an automatic drain that expels collected condensate from the PC bowl without anyone opening it. The set outlet pressure is read on the embedded square gauge, which on this configuration is scaled in psi. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with options including a 5 um filter element (code W), manual or differential-pressure drain, a round external gauge, MPa or bar gauge scales, PT or NPT threads and a check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air prep for a bench or C-frame pneumatic press: the 40 um element stops scale and pipe debris reaching the cylinder valves, and the regulator holds a steady working pressure so the press cycle stays repeatable. The automatic drain keeps the bowl clear on multi-shift running.
Feeding air to conveyor stoppers, diverters and carton-closing cylinders on a packaging line. Filtered, regulated air at a set psi keeps actuator speeds consistent, while the automatic drain removes condensate without a daily walk-round.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to clamping fixtures and spindle-area air blasts on a CNC machining centre. The square psi gauge lets the setter verify clamping pressure at a glance, and the 1/2 in G connection suits the machine's main air drop.
Start with the port and size: this unit is size 400 with a 1/2 in G thread; smaller or larger sizes (200/300/600, 1/8 in to 1 in) step port size and flow capacity, so match the step to the air demand of the line. Drain type is a real choice: automatic (this unit) suits unattended duty, manual drain suits supervised points, and differential-pressure drain is the default. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W if finer filtration is needed. The gauge is the embedded square type scaled in psi here; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options. A mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet curve and sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not state a l/min, m3/h or SCFM figure here. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment and we will confirm the datasheet curve for the size 400 unit and check the sizing with you before you order.
This unit has an automatic drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is expelled on its own, so no one has to open the drain valve. The alternatives in the GFR range are manual drain (you drain it yourself, and it allows the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa / 7-130 psi regulation range) and differential-pressure drain (the catalogue default). Choose automatic for unattended or hard-to-reach installations.
