The AirTAC GFR400-15JF1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Square Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15JF1T is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a 1/2 in NPT port, a 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes through, and a square pressure gauge scaled in MPa. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and no mounting bracket is included. The polycarbonate bowl is fitted for visual condensate level checks.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option, gauge scale choices and optional brackets. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the drop feeding a CNC machining centre's pneumatic valves and clamps, it strips water and chips-laden particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure so tool-change and clamping sequences repeat cleanly shift after shift.
Installed ahead of the cylinder bank on a carton-forming and sealing conveyor, it cleans the compressed air and sets the working pressure the sealing and pusher cylinders see, protecting actuators from moisture carryover and pressure drift.
Fitted upstream of a solenoid-valve manifold actuating process valves on a bottling or chemical line, it delivers filtered, regulated air so valve spools stay free of condensate and the manifold pressure stays where the loop was commissioned.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs, and confirm the match against the published flow curves before ordering. Drain choice is real: differential-pressure (this model) renews the bowl seal with each flow cycle, automatic drains unattended, and manual drain suits intermittently used points. The element is 40 um as fitted here; specify code W for 5 um where finer particulate matters. The square gauge is embedded and MPa-scaled; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are order options. Thread is NPT here, with PT (standard) and G available to order, and a bracket can be added if this one-less-bracket version needs panel support.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and the air your equipment consumes, and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
A differential-pressure drain bleeds accumulated condensate automatically as air flows through the unit, with no operator attention. Choose code A (automatic) for unattended duty with heavy condensate, or code M (manual) for intermittently used points where someone drains the bowl by hand. Note the manual-drain version also widens the regulator adjustment range down to 0.05 MPa (7 psi).
