The AirTAC GFR400-15LC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15LC1T is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size 400 unit has a 1/2 in NPT port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. It is the low-pressure (L) type, so its regulation is intended for lower working pressures than the standard version, and it comes with a round MPa-scale pressure gauge fitted plus a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, PT, G or NPT thread, and standard or low-pressure regulation. Flow for this model is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the actuated cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming or case-packing line, where the process calls for lower regulated pressures than a standard regulator is set up for.
Conditioning the pilot-air supply ahead of pneumatically actuated butterfly or ball valves on a water-treatment or process skid, keeping dirt and condensed water out of the positioner and solenoid valves.
Supplying clean, regulated air to conveyor-mounted clamps, diverters and blow-off nozzles, with the differential-pressure drain handling condensate without a daily manual dump routine.
Start with the port and size step: size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port sits in the upper half of the GFR range, so step up or down (200/300/400/600) according to the air demand of the line it feeds. Choose the drain: differential-pressure (this model) needs no operator attention, automatic drains continuously, and manual requires someone to open the bowl drain. Choose the filter grade: 40 um standard for general protection, or the W variant at 5 um where finer particle removal matters. Gauge style (embedded square or external round) and scale (MPa, psi or bar) are selectable, as is the thread: PT is the standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options; this unit is NPT. Brackets are included unless the J no-bracket code is specified.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated number, and the exact regulation range of the low-pressure type is not stated in the material we hold. Ask us to confirm both against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we will not quote you a number that is not in the datasheet. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow curve and sizing against it on request, before you order.
L marks the low-pressure type of the GFR regulator section, intended for lower working pressures than the standard version. The exact adjustment range of the low-pressure type is not published in the material we hold, so ask us to confirm it on request. The unit's maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and it operates from -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
