The AirTAC GFR400-15LJF3T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, Square Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15LJF3T is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, the low-pressure regulator type, a 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough, so no manual draining routine is needed. The embedded square gauge reads in bar, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket and without a reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (code W) filter option, alternative gauge scales and G or NPT thread variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On cartoning and wrapping lines where sealing bars, hold-downs and low-pressure actuators run below standard regulator settings, this low-pressure GFR filters the supply, holds the reduced pressure steady at each station and drains condensate on its own.
In paint and coating supply air, the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale ahead of the spray equipment while the regulator holds a gentle, repeatable atomising or purging pressure, with the bar-scale square gauge giving operators a local setpoint check.
On weaving, winding and converting machines where pneumatic tension rollers and guide cylinders need a mild, stable pressure, this single-body filter regulator conditions the line air and keeps the set pressure constant through shift-long running.
Start with the port step: size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port suits lines where the air demand is higher than a 300-size unit carries; match the size to the flow your circuit needs and we will check the published curve against your figures. Drain choice matters here: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (no operator intervention), while automatic and manual drains are orderable alternatives. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is required. The square gauge is fitted and reads in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread is NPT here, with PT (standard) and G available to order; a bracket can be added if the J (no-bracket) option does not suit your mounting. The low-pressure regulator type is selected for circuits that work below the standard setting range - the exact range is not published, so confirm it with us against your setpoint before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow only as characteristic curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet curve and sizing for this 1/2 in, size 400 unit before you order.
This unit's bowl drains itself: condensate collected at the bottom is bled off automatically whenever the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises far enough, so there is no manual routine. If your maintenance plan prefers it, automatic (code A) or manual (code M) drain versions are orderable alternatives in the same size.
