The AirTAC GFR400-15MJC2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15MJC2T is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 1/2 in NPT thread, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, the standard 40 um filter element, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), the unit takes a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and it operates from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). It is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT to order, with automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filter elements, and square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation for a CNC machining cell: the 40 um element strips water and swarf-carrying particulate before the machine's solenoid valves, and the regulator holds a set supply pressure to the clamps and tool-change actuators. The manual drain is emptied during scheduled maintenance rounds.
Filtered, regulated air for the pneumatic cylinders and diverters on a packaging conveyor line. The 1/2 in NPT port suits the main drop feeding several valve stations, and the psi gauge lets line staff verify set pressure at a glance. Operators drain the bowl at shift start.
Air preparation at a paint spray booth, where oil mist must be kept out of the finish: this filter regulator cleans the air with its 40 um element and sets gun supply pressure, without adding lubricant. The polycarbonate bowl gives a clear view of collected condensate between drains.
Choose the size by the port and flow step: sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 cover 1/8 in to 1 in ports, with larger sizes carrying more flow - match the port to your piping and let us check the flow curve against your demand. Pick the drain to suit the installation: manual (this unit) needs periodic draining by hand, automatic drains condensate without attention, and differential-pressure drains discharge on pressure drop. Filter grade is 40 um standard; specify W for the 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. Gauges are square (embedded) or round (external, as on this unit) with MPa, psi or bar scales. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT (this unit) are order options, and brackets are optional. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can quote honestly. Tell us your application and line pressure and we will confirm the relevant datasheet figures for this size 400, 1/2 in unit on request before you order.
A manual drain means an operator opens the drain periodically to discharge collected condensate - simple and reliable where the unit is accessible and checked routinely. Automatic and differential-pressure drain variants are available if unattended draining is needed. Note that the manual-drain version also allows the widest regulator adjustment, from 0.05 MPa (7 psi), versus 0.15 MPa (20 psi) minimum on the automatic and differential-pressure versions.
