The AirTAC GFR400-15NPT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 1/2 in is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15NPT is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, the standard 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the element rises, and a mounting bracket. No gauge is fitted (code N), so add a gauge separately if you want a local pressure readout. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a range of ports and threads (PT standard, G and NPT as order options), drain types, filter grades and gauge choices, so you can match one unit to most line sizes. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure - ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the point where a 1/2 in branch line feeds a production cell, it strips water and pipe-scale from the compressed air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the cell's air tools and actuators.
Fitted ahead of the solenoid valves that drive conveyor stoppers, lifts and diverters, it keeps moisture and grit out of the valve seats and gives the line a set pressure the cylinders were sized for.
Installed at a maintenance-shop air outlet serving impact wrenches, ratchets and blow guns, it dries and filters the supply and lets the technician dial in the working pressure for each tool.
Size and port: the GFR series steps through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, each with its own port range - pick the step whose flow curve covers your demand rather than upsizing blindly. This unit is size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port. Drain: differential-pressure (this unit) is the set-and-forget default; choose automatic (A) for continuous condensate purge or manual (M) where you want full control. Filter grade: 40 um is standard; specify W for 5 um where finer pre-filtration matters. Gauge: this unit ships without one (code N) - round or square gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales are available. Thread: PT is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. Bracket: included on this unit.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, we do not quote a rated flow number here. Send us your line size and air demand and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your line size and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for this exact model on request before you order.
The N in GFR400-15NPT means no gauge is supplied. The regulator works exactly the same; you simply add a gauge separately. AirTAC offers embedded square gauges and optional external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, so you can order a gauge version of the same size if you want a local readout.
