The AirTAC GFR400-15T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/2 in is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15T is a size-400 filter regulator that cleans compressed air and holds downstream pressure in one body. Water and particulate are stripped by the standard 40 um element, condensate collects in the polycarbonate bowl and is expelled by the differential-pressure drain, and the outlet pressure is set anywhere in the 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range with the round MPa-scale gauge fitted to this configuration. The port is NPT 1/2 in, the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of PT, G or NPT thread, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (code W) filter option, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the point of use on a factory air drop, the GFR400-15T removes water and pipe scale from the header supply and lets each assembly cell set its own regulated pressure for actuators and air tools.
Feeding a CNC machining centre's pneumatic circuit, this unit filters moisture and particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the tool changer, clamps and air-blast lines.
On a packaging or bottling line, the filter regulator conditions the air feeding conveyor stoppers, diverters and carton-closing cylinders, keeping the supply dry and the operating pressure consistent across the shift.
Start with the port step: this size-400 unit carries a 1/2 in NPT thread, sized for the higher-flow branch of the range; drop to size 200 or 300 for smaller lines or step to 600 for the largest ports, matching the size to the flow your line needs. This configuration uses the standard 40 um element (choose code W for 5 um where finer filtration is required) and the differential-pressure drain, which discharges condensate automatically as the pressure differential changes; manual (M) and automatic (A) drains are order options. The round MPa gauge is fitted here; embedded square gauges and psi or bar scales are alternatives.
Thread is NPT on this model, with PT as the standard catalogue thread and G (BSPP) available to order - all are specifications, not delivery terms. A mounting bracket is not included with this code (code J) but can be selected on other variants. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your line pressure, downstream pressure and expected air demand and we will confirm the flow curves from the datasheet on request before you order.
This configuration uses the differential-pressure drain, the default for the GFR series: condensate is discharged from the polycarbonate bowl automatically as the pressure differential across the drain changes, with no operator action. If you prefer a float-type automatic drain, order code A; for a fully manual bowl drain, order code M.
