The AirTAC GFR400-15T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15T is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is fitted with a 5 um filter element (code W, one step finer than the 40 um standard), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and an external round gauge on an MPa scale for direct reading of the set pressure. The outlet is NPT1/2 (1/2 in) thread, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits this size, and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, thread options PT (standard), G and NPT, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grades 40 um or 5 um, gauge styles and scales, and a reverse/check valve option. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air supply to a stamping or forming press actuated by air cylinders, where the 5 um element protects directional valves and the round MPa gauge lets setters verify clamp pressure at a glance.
Filter-regulated air for conveyor diverters, case sealers and bagging machinery, with the automatic drain handling condensate on a line that runs unattended across shifts.
Point-of-use air preparation for laboratory automation and sample-handling equipment, where the 5 um grade and stable regulated output protect sensitive pneumatic components downstream.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper half of the GFR range - step up to 600 or step down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs; we confirm sizing against the published curves before you order. The 5 um element (W) suits air that feeds valves, cylinders or instruments sensitive to finer particles; choose 40 um for general workshop air. The automatic drain suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; manual and differential-pressure drains are available on other variants. The round gauge here reads in MPa; psi and bar scales and an embedded square gauge are options. NPT thread is specified on this model, with PT (standard) and G available to order, and the included bracket simplifies panel or wall mounting. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Contact us with your application and we will confirm the flow curve and sizing from the datasheet before you order.
The A in the code sets the automatic drain, which expels collected condensate on its own - useful where the unit is mounted out of reach or the line runs unattended. The W sets the 5 um filter element, one grade finer than the 40 um standard, for air feeding valves, cylinders or instruments that need cleaner air. Both are selectable when ordering other variants.
