The AirTAC GFR400-15T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15T is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This configuration carries a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure if the supply is lost. The fitted round gauge reads in bar, and a mounting bracket is included for panel or wall fixing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, thread types (PT standard, G and NPT as options), drain types, filter grades and gauge styles; maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the shop-air feed that serves tool-clamp cylinders, chip ejection jets and fixture clamps on a machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting the machine's valves from particles and water.
Conditioning the air that drives stopper, pusher and diverter cylinders on a bottling or packaging conveyor, holding a stable regulated pressure so stroke timing stays repeatable through the shift.
Supplying clean, regulated air to lab automation frames, gripper circuits and small actuator manifolds, where the 5 um grade and automatic drain keep sensitive components protected without daily draining.
Size the GFR400 by port and expected demand: the 400 size steps up from the 300 series for lines running larger actuators or multiple take-offs, and the 1/2 in NPT port here suits 1/2 in pipework. Choose the drain to match access: automatic (this unit) suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations, manual suits supervised points, and the differential-pressure default drains on load. Standard filtration is 40 um; the 5 um element fitted here is the finer choice for valves, cylinders and instruments. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT) are order choices, and a bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your demand profile and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as characteristic curves, not a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM figure. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of the equipment downstream, and we will confirm the flow curves from the datasheet and check the 400 size against your application before you order.
The code W in GFR40015AC3WTK selects the optional 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, giving finer protection for valves, cylinders and instruments. The code A selects the automatic drain, which discharges collected condensate on its own - useful where the unit is mounted out of reach or the line runs unattended. A manual drain or the differential-pressure default are available on other configurations.
