The AirTAC GFR40010AJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010AJF2T is a 400-size filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in one body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and a square pressure gauge reading in psi. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the polycarbonate bowl suits general indoor compressed-air service.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options, manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), gauge scale choices, and a reverse/check valve option. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet figure against your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the cylinder-actuated fill, cap and eject stations on a bottling line, with the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the valves during continuous shifts.
Conditions the shop-air feed to a CNC machining centre, removing water and particulate before it reaches the tool-clamp and tool-change actuators and holding a stable setpoint on the psi gauge.
Supplies the diverters, stop gates and pusher cylinders along a packaging conveyor, with the 40 um element protecting the directional valves and the regulator holding the pressure the station was set up for.
Start with the port step: this unit is 3/8 in NPT in the 400 size, so match it to the line size and the air demand of the equipment it feeds - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow. Drain choice matters in operation: automatic drain (this unit) empties the bowl on its own, manual drain needs an operator, and the differential-pressure default drains only when the pressure differential calls for it. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the 5 um option (code W) where finer particulate removal is required. The square gauge here reads psi; MPa and bar scales are available, and an external round gauge is an option. Threads are PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is the NPT version. A mounting bracket can be added; this configuration is supplied without one.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your air demand and line conditions and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM number. Send us your air demand and line conditions and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code selects the automatic drain, which ejects collected condensate from the bowl without operator attention - useful on lines that run unattended. The alternatives are a manual drain you empty yourself, or the differential-pressure default that drains only when the pressure differential calls for it.
