The AirTAC GFR40010ALJNWTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010ALJNWTK is a GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This unit is built on the GFR400 size with NPT3/8 (3/8 in NPT) ports, a 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain (code A) and a polycarbonate (PC) bowl. It is the low-pressure regulator type (code L) and a reverse/check valve (K) is fitted. No gauge is supplied (N) and no mounting bracket is included (J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options for thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order), drain type, filter grade, gauge and bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation for weld-clamp cylinders and grippers on a robotic welding cell: the 5 um element keeps water and particulate carryover out of the valve stack while the regulator holds a stable setting on the clamp circuit, and the check valve holds the downstream setting if supply pressure dips.
Clean, regulated air for bottle-gripper and gating cylinders on a bottling line. The automatic drain handles condensate from humid compressor air without operator rounds, and the 3/8 in ports suit the branch lines feeding a conveyor section.
Filtered, regulated air to the spray-gun supply header on an automotive paint booth, where a lubricator is deliberately left out of the circuit. The low-pressure type suits lower spray-pressure circuits; confirm the exact setting range with us before ordering.
Choose the size by the port and flow step: GFR400 carries 3/8 in ports and sits one step above GFR300 (1/4 in) and one below GFR600. Drain type is a real choice here: automatic (this unit, code A) expels condensate without operator attention, while manual and differential-pressure drains suit other service routines. The 5 um element (W) gives finer filtration than the 40 um standard element. This is the low-pressure type (L); its exact regulation range is not published, so confirm it with us before ordering. No gauge is fitted (N) and no bracket (J); gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales and brackets are available on other variants. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and the full datasheet on request.
Code A fits an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without operator attention, which suits unmanned cells or hard-to-reach installations. Manual and differential-pressure drains are available on other GFR400 variants - ask us to quote the alternative.
