The AirTAC GFR40010LF1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010LF1WT is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is the 400 size with a 3/8 in NPT thread, fitted with the 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um element, the low-pressure regulator type, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level, and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, PT (standard), G or NPT threads, 40 um or 5 um elements, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, standard or low-pressure regulation, gauge scale options and round or square gauges. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplies filtered, regulated air to clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture, where the low-pressure regulator type holds the gentle holding pressure the clamps need and the 5 um element protects the valve seals from particulate.
Feeds diverters, pushers and gripper cylinders on a packaging conveyor, cleaning condensed water out of the supply ahead of the valves while the square gauge gives operators a clear pressure reference at the drop.
Conditions the air feeding lab automation and test-rig actuators, where the 5 um grade keeps fine debris away from sensitive pilot components and the low-pressure regulation suits circuits run at modest pressures.
Start with the port: this unit is the 400 size in 3/8 in NPT, so match it to your line size and the flow your actuators need - if your demand sits near the top of the 400 size, step up to the 600. The 5 um element (W code) suits downstream equipment that needs finer protection than the standard 40 um; choose 40 um where coarser filtration is acceptable. The low-pressure type is intended for circuits regulated below the standard type's range - confirm the exact range with us. The differential-pressure drain needs no manual attention but works best with steady flow; pick an automatic or manual drain variant for intermittent duty. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are selectable, and a bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one rated flow number we can quote. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The W in the code selects the 5 um filter element instead of the standard 40 um, giving finer protection for downstream valves and cylinders. The blank drain position means the differential-pressure type: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is bled off automatically as air flows through, with no manual draining needed.
