The AirTAC GFR40010MC2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8 Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010MC2G is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body. It removes water and particulate from compressed air through a 40 um element and holds downstream pressure within a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range. This configuration is built on the size-400 body with a G3/8 (BSPP) female port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi (the embedded square gauge is the standard fitting, with an external round gauge available as an option). Manual drain means the bowl is emptied by hand, which suits positions that are checked as part of a routine walk-round.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), a 5 um element option, gauge and scale choices, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use clean, regulated air at a paint booth drop: the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale before the spray guns, and the regulator holds a steady set pressure for consistent atomisation.
Feeding carton sealers and wrapper cylinders on a packaging line, where the combined filter-regulator keeps contaminants out of the valve stack and holds the cylinder pressure the machine was set up with.
A compact first-stage unit on the air-preparation panel of an OEM machine: one body does the filtering and regulation before the lubricator or directional valves downstream, with a psi gauge for operator setting.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of the circuit: size 400 with a 3/8 port sits mid-range in the GFR line, with 200, 300 and 600 stepping down or up from it. Drain type is a real decision here - this unit is manual drain, so plan for periodic hand draining; automatic or differential-pressure drain variants exist if the position is unattended. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code if the application needs the 5 um option. Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar) and this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is G (BSPP) on this code, with PT and NPT available as order options; a mounting bracket is included.
Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet and correct sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures and check the sizing against your air demand before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain bowl, which you empty by hand - straightforward and reliable for positions checked during routine maintenance. The GFR series is also available with automatic or differential-pressure drain for unattended positions, and this unit covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) of regulation across the manual-drain variants.
