The AirTAC GFR40010MC2WGK AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010MC2WGK is a GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit carries a G3/8 (BSPP) port, a 5 um filter element (the finer W grade, versus the 40 um standard), a manual drain on the bowl, a round external gauge scaled in psi, and a built-in reverse/check valve. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The PC (polycarbonate) bowl includes a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR400 series. The GFR line is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and can be ordered with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, a low-pressure regulator type, a check valve, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the gripper and capper cylinders on a bottling line, with the 5 um element protecting close-tolerance valves and the manual drain emptied during shift checks.
Regulating supply pressure to pneumatic clamps in a robotic weld cell, where the check valve holds the set downstream pressure if the main supply dips mid-cycle.
Conditioning air ahead of spray guns in a finishing booth: the 5 um grade strips water and particulate that would otherwise blemish the coating, while the regulator sets gun supply pressure.
Choose the GFR400 size step by the flow your line needs: 200, 300, 400 and 600 move progressively more air through progressively larger ports, and this unit steps up to G3/8. Pick the drain to match maintenance access: manual drain (as here) means someone opens it during checks; automatic or differential-pressure drains suit unattended installations. Select the 5 um W element when downstream equipment needs finer filtration than the 40 um standard. The round psi gauge here is one option alongside the embedded square gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread is G (BSPP) on this code; PT is the standard and NPT is an order option, as is the no-bracket J variant. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so please ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated l/min, SCFM or Cv number. Send us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet and check the sizing against your application on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the PC bowl is released by hand during routine checks. If the unit will sit in an inaccessible spot or on an unattended line, the same GFR400 body can be ordered with an automatic or differential-pressure drain instead. Note that the manual-drain version also carries the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range.
