The AirTAC GFR40010MF2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010MF2K is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a PT3/8 port (PT thread standard, with G and NPT available as order options), a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, a built-in reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the regulator setpoint is adjustable from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, drain types, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge scale, thread option and check valve, so a matching unit can be specified for most lines. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating; we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the point where the main header feeds a CNC machining cell, the GFR40010MF2K removes condensed water and pipe scale from the supply and holds a steady regulated pressure to the cell's air tools and clamps. The manual drain is bled during scheduled shift checks.
Mounted on the drop ahead of the cylinders and air grippers on a packaging or cartoning line, this unit filters the shop air and regulates it to the pressure the actuators were sized for. The check valve holds the downstream setting if the upstream supply dips.
Fitted upstream of a solenoid-valve manifold controlling a process or assembly station, the filter regulator protects the valves from water and particulate carryover and lets the station pressure be set independently of the main header. The psi gauge gives operators a direct local reading.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of the circuit: size 400 with a PT3/8 port sits in the middle of the GFR range, with 200/300 below and 600 above for larger ports and higher flow. Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. On this unit the drain is manual, which suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl on a routine basis; automatic and differential-pressure drains are available on other codes if unattended drainage is preferred. The standard 40 um element covers general plant air; specify the 5 um (W) grade where finer filtration is needed. The fitted square gauge reads in psi (MPa and bar scales are alternatives), the PT thread is standard with G and NPT as order options, and the bracket is included for panel or wall mounting.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number for this unit. Tell us your application's air demand and working pressure and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: the bowl is emptied by hand, which suits stations that receive routine operator attention. GFR units are also available with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank) where the bowl should discharge without operator action; note that the regulation range differs by drain type, with manual-drain units adjustable from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
