GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT

The AirTAC GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT

The GFR40010MF2T is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This configuration is a size 400 unit with a 3/8 in NPT port, a polycarbonate manual-drain bowl, a 40 um standard filter element, and the standard regulator type with a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range. An embedded square gauge reading in psi is fitted, a mounting bracket is included, and the unit takes a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) at -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (W) element, gauge scale choices and a reverse/check valve option. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet numbers for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press supply

Feeding filtered, regulated air to a bench pneumatic press or riveter, where the 40 um element keeps scale and pipe debris out of the valve train and the regulator holds a steady working pressure at the cylinder.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuation

Supplying air to sorting gates, diverters and clamp cylinders on a packaging conveyor, where the manual drain lets an operator bleed accumulated condensate at shift start and the psi gauge gives a readable setpoint.

science

Test-rig instrument air

Conditioning the air feed to a laboratory test-rig panel or instrument skid, where the filter regulator protects downstream precision valves from water and grit and the square gauge keeps supply pressure visible at the panel.

Is the GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT the Right Unit?

Pick the size by the port and air demand of your line: sizes 200 through 600 step up from 1/8 to 1 in, and this size 400 unit carries a 3/8 in NPT port. Drain type is a real decision: manual (this unit, which also widens the regulation range down to 0.05 MPa), automatic for hands-off condensate removal, or differential-pressure as the default. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W. The square gauge is embedded and reads psi here; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and a no-bracket J variant exists. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR40010MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number here. Tell us your working pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet for this 3/8 in port unit before you order.

The M in this code selects a manual drain: an operator opens the bowl drain to release collected condensate, and on a filter regulator with manual drain the regulation range starts lower at 0.05 MPa (7-130 psi). Automatic and differential-pressure drains are available in the same series if you would rather not drain by hand.
