The AirTAC GFR40010MJC2W AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010MJC2W is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body. It removes water and particulate from compressed air at the 5 um grade (code W, finer than the 40 um standard element) and holds downstream pressure within a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range. This unit is size 400 with a PT3/8 (3/8 in) PT-threaded port, a manual drain bowl in PC (polycarbonate), a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and no mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge and bracket choices, and an optional reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for a CNC machining centre's pneumatic tool-change and clamping circuits, delivering cleaned air at a set pressure to the machine's valve manifold.
Regulated, filtered air feed to the clamping cylinders of a pneumatic press, where the operator sets and holds the clamping pressure and drains the bowl during shift checks.
Conditioning the air supply to a cartoning or wrapping machine's actuator bank, protecting the machine's control valves from water and fine particulate upstream of the FRL tie-in.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port is the mid-large step in the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the flow your line needs - we confirm the published flow curves against your demand before you order. The manual drain on this unit means an operator opens the bowl drain periodically; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain if the installation is unattended. The 5 um element (W code) suits downstream equipment more sensitive to particulate than the 40 um standard. The round gauge is scaled in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order; this configuration ships without a bracket, and a bracket can be specified on other variants.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and required downstream flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the PC bowl is released by opening the drain when an operator checks it. It suits attended installations with regular walk-rounds; for unattended or hard-to-reach positions, specify the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain variant instead.
