The AirTAC GFR40015ALJC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015ALJC3TK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This 400-size unit is ordered with a 1/2 in NPT port, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and a low-pressure regulator type. A round pressure gauge with a bar scale is fitted, and a reverse (check) valve is built in so downstream pressure is held if the supply drops. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl on this 400 size is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as standard and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, with a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge style and scale, bracket, and reverse valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A machining cell that holds workpieces with low-pressure pneumatic clamps gets filtered air plus a regulator set in the low-pressure range, with the check valve holding clamp pressure if the main supply dips.
On a carton-sealing or wrapping line, this unit conditions the plant air feeding cylinders and actuators, the automatic drain clearing condensate through long shifts without an operator stopping to bleed the bowl.
Distribution and bottling conveyors that use air jets and pneumatic diverters can run off this filter regulator, with the bar-scale gauge letting line staff verify the set pressure at a glance.
Start with the port and size step: this unit is 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port; if your line runs smaller or larger, the same family steps through 200/300/400/600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your application conditions and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order. The remaining choices are decodable from the code: automatic drain (A) for unattended condensate removal, 40 um standard filtration (5 um is the W option), low-pressure regulator type, a fitted round gauge with bar scale, NPT thread (PT is standard; G is also available), no mounting bracket, and a built-in reverse/check valve.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request.
The A in the code orders the automatic drain: collected condensate is ejected from the PC bowl without anyone opening it, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The L orders the low-pressure regulator type; its exact adjustment range is not published in our data, so confirm it with us on request. The fitted C3 round gauge reads in bar.
