The AirTAC GFR40015ALJF2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015ALJF2 is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single 400-size body with a 1/2 inch PT port. This configuration carries the standard 40 um filter element and an automatic drain, so collected condensate is expelled from the PC bowl without manual attention - useful on lines that run unattended. It is the low-pressure regulator type, and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi is fitted so downstream pressure can be read at a glance. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a stamping or assembly press, clean, moisture-reduced air at a stable low setpoint keeps clamp cylinders consistent stroke after stroke; the automatic drain handles condensate between shifts without operator rounds.
Carton sealers and wrap stations run valve-and-cylinder circuits that suffer from water and grit; a 40 um element with automatic drain upstream of the machine protects those components while the low-pressure type regulates the supply.
Sorting and diverting gates on a conveyor line cycle constantly on plant air; filtered, regulated supply at a setpoint read on the psi gauge keeps gate cylinders predictable, and the automatic drain suits a line that runs unattended.
Size 400 with a 1/2 inch PT port suits lines whose air demand sits above what 200/300-size units are typically piped for - step up or down a size to match your flow, and note that flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. The automatic drain here expels condensate on its own; choose manual drain if you prefer operator-controlled blowdown, or the differential-pressure default. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify 5 um (code W) where finer particulate removal is needed. The fitted square gauge reads in psi; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as order options. This unit ships without a mounting bracket; a bracket is available on other configurations.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for this exact configuration on request before you order.
This configuration is coded A for automatic drain: condensate collected in the PC bowl is discharged without manual intervention, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The GFR400 series is also available with manual drain (code M) or the differential-pressure drain default, and the standard 40 um element can be swapped for a 5 um element (code W) at order time.
