The AirTAC GFR40015ALJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40015ALJNTK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration takes a 1/2 in NPT port, uses the standard 40 um filter element, and has an automatic drain that discharges collected condensate from the polycarbonate bowl without daily manual attention. It is the low-pressure regulator type, includes a reverse (check) valve, and is supplied without a gauge or mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT to order, with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, an optional 5 um (W) element, gauge options and bracket choices. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to carton sealers, labelers and case erectors on a packaging line; the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the bowl on shifts that run without an operator at the manifold.
Supplying clean, regulated air to clamp cylinders and swing clamps on a machining fixture, where the 40 um element helps keep water and debris out of the downstream valve stack.
Regulating air to diverters, stoppers and gate cylinders on a conveyor line; this configuration includes a reverse (check) valve for circuits that need one.
Size and port are the first decision: GFR comes in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, so step up in size where air demand is higher - this unit is size 400 on a 1/2 in NPT port. Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (default), automatic as fitted here, or manual. Filter grade is 40 um standard with a 5 um (W) element optional; gauge (embedded square or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scales), thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) and bracket are also selectable. This unit is the low-pressure (L) regulator type, selected where set points below the standard range are needed; ask us to confirm its exact adjustment range from the datasheet. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The A in the code sets the automatic drain, which discharges collected condensate from the bowl without daily manual attention - useful on lines that run unattended. Manual (M) and differential-pressure (default) drain versions of the same size are available in the GFR range; tell us your preference and we will quote the matching code.
