The AirTAC GFR40015ALNWTK AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 1/2 in is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015ALNWTK is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has 1/2 in NPT ports, a 5 um filter element (code W, tighter than the standard 40 um), an automatic drain that evacuates collected condensate without manual attention, and the low-pressure regulator type. It is supplied with a mounting bracket and a reverse/check valve, and no gauge is fitted. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge options and a low-pressure regulator type. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the air feeding a bank of directional control valves on an automated machine, keeping water and 5 um-level particulate out of the valve spools.
Conditioning the supply to conveyor-mounted air jets and actuator cylinders, with the automatic drain handling condensate on a line that runs unattended.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to pneumatic clamping or holding fixtures that operate at reduced pressure, where the low-pressure regulator type is the appropriate match.
Size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports suits lines where a larger port and higher flow capacity are needed; step up or down through the 200/300/400/600 range against the flow your circuit demands. The 5 um element (W code) is the right choice when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer filtration than the standard 40 um. The automatic drain suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; manual and differential-pressure drains are the alternatives in this family. Note this is the low-pressure regulator type - its exact adjustment range is not published, so confirm it with us if your setpoint matters. No gauge is fitted; gauge and scale options exist in the family if you want local pressure indication. PT is the standard thread and G or NPT are order options - this unit is specified with NPT. A mounting bracket is included.
Because flow for the GFR series is published as curves and not as a single rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and sizing on request before you order.
This configuration is ordered without a gauge (code N), so no pressure indication is fitted. Gauge options with different scales exist within the GFR family, so if you need local readout of the regulated pressure, ask us about a gauge-equipped variant or a separate gauge for the line.
