The AirTAC GFR40015ANT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15ANT is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit has a 1/2 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a 40 um standard filter element. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). No gauge is fitted with this configuration, so add a separate gauge if local pressure indication is required.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, thread options (PT standard, G and NPT to order), drain types, 40 um or 5 um filtration, and gauge options. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on the main air drop feeding a production bay, it strips water and pipe-scale from the compressed air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the tools and actuators below.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a packaging conveyor, it delivers clean, moisture-reduced air at a set pressure so clamp and pusher cylinders cycle consistently through the shift.
Fitted at the wall outlet of a maintenance workshop, it conditions the supply for impact wrenches, blow guns and air ratchets, with the automatic drain keeping the bowl clear between uses.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs. The automatic drain on this unit suits installations that are not checked daily; choose a manual drain where an operator is on hand, or the differential-pressure default where drain behaviour should follow pressure drop. Filtration is 40 um as standard; specify the W code for 5 um where finer protection matters. No gauge is fitted here - gauge and scale (MPa, psi or bar) can be selected on other configurations. Thread is NPT on this code; PT is the standard and G is also an order option. A mounting bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs and we will confirm the datasheet curve and correct sizing on request before you order.
The A in the code GFR400-15ANT specifies an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate on its own instead of relying on manual draining. The N specifies that no gauge is supplied; if you want downstream pressure indication, select a configuration with a gauge or add a separate gauge to the line.
