GFR40015F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2

The AirTAC GFR40015F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR40015F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2

The AirTAC GFR40015F2G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This configuration is built on the GFR400 size with a G1/2 (BSPP) port, 40 um standard filtration, a differential-pressure drain and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl is polycarbonate and a mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), an optional 5 um filter element (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.

(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR40015F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 Is Used

factory

Automotive paint shop air drops

Cleaned and pressure-stabilised air at each paint-line drop keeps spray guns and air-assisted applicators fed with water- and particle-free air at the pressure the booth recipe calls for.

conveyor_belt

Carton-sealing packaging line

Filtered, regulated air feeding the cylinders and grippers on a carton erecting and taping conveyor keeps flap-fold and press-down strokes consistent through every shift.

precision_manufacturing

CNC pneumatic workholding

Regulated air to the clamping circuit of a CNC milling or turning cell holds fixture pressure steady so part clamping force does not drift as shop air pressure fluctuates.

Is the GFR40015F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 the Right Unit?

Step up or down by size and port: this GFR400 unit carries a G1/2 port, one of the 1/8 to 1 inch steps across the series, so match the size to the pipe and the air demand of the circuit. Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (this unit, the default), automatic (code A) or manual (code M). Filtration is 40 um standard here; specify the W option for 5 um where finer particle capture is needed. The embedded square gauge is standard and this unit is scaled in psi; an external round gauge is optional, with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread: PT is the standard, while G and NPT are order options - this unit is specified with G thread. A mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR40015F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can quote honestly. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request before you order.

Differential-pressure drain is the default on the GFR series and is what the GFR40015F2G carries. If you prefer condensate to be expelled automatically regardless of pressure drop, order the A (automatic) variant; if you want to drain by hand on a schedule, the M (manual) variant is available in the same size.
