The AirTAC GFR40015LJC2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015LJC2WG is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation combined in one body. This 1/2 in (G1/2) unit is the low-pressure (L) type, fitted with a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer particle capture than the 40 um standard element. The differential-pressure drain bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element rises, and the fitted round gauge reads downstream pressure in psi. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl is polycarbonate (PC); no mounting bracket is included with this code.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT (standard), G and NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, gauge and scale choices, and low-pressure or standard regulator types. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to spray guns and atomising heads on a finishing line, where the 5 um element helps keep moisture and particles out of the finish and the low-pressure type suits reduced downstream settings.
Sits at the drop feeding clamps, chucks and air cylinders on a CNC or machining cell, cleaning the supply and holding a steady working pressure for repeatable actuation.
Installed on the air drop serving cartoning, wrapping or filling equipment, protecting valves and actuators from water and debris while regulating supply pressure to the machine's requirement.
Choose the GFR size by the port and flow your line needs: this code is size 400 with a 1/2 in port, one step up from 3/8 in and one below 3/4 in. The 5 um element (W) suits points of use that need finer particle capture; the 40 um standard element is the usual general-purpose choice. Drain options are differential-pressure (this unit, self-acting on pressure differential), fully automatic, or manual. Gauge scales are available in MPa, psi or bar - this configuration carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options; brackets are optional (this code omits one).
Flow for GFR units is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we cannot quote a rated flow here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures and correct sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow data as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number here. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm the datasheet figures and check the sizing for you on request.
The L in the code marks the low-pressure regulator type, intended for reduced downstream settings rather than the full standard range. The exact adjustment range for the low-pressure type is not published in our current data sheet, so please confirm the range with us on request. Max inlet pressure remains 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
