The AirTAC GFR40015LJC3WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015LJC3WTK is a GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates the downstream pressure. This size 400 unit is built for 1/2 in NPT ports and carries the W code, so it is fitted with the finer 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard. The blank drain position gives the differential-pressure drain, the L code makes it the low-pressure regulator type, and the C3 code adds an external round gauge with a bar scale. The K code means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, and the J code means no mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options for thread (PT standard, G and NPT to order), drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, and bracket. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplying filtered, regulated low-pressure air to the clamping fixtures and tool-change cylinders of a CNC machining centre, where the 5 um element protects the directional valves from particulate and water carryover.
Feeding the pick-and-place cylinders and sealing jaws of a packaging line, with the regulator holding a steady low-pressure supply and the fitted check valve preventing backflow from the downstream circuit.
Conditioning the air supply to actuated butterfly and ball valves on a water-treatment skid, where the differential-pressure drain bleeds accumulated condensate and the bar-scale gauge gives operators a local pressure readout.
Every choice in this unit is decodable from the code. Size 400 with 1/2 in ports sits in the upper-middle of the range; step down to 300 or up to 600 depending on the flow your line needs - we can check the curve against your demand before you order. Drain: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (the default); automatic (A) and manual (M) versions exist in the family. Filter grade: 5 um here (W code); the standard element is 40 um. Gauge: external round with a bar scale; the embedded square gauge is standard and MPa and psi scales are available. Thread: NPT here; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is an order option. No mounting bracket is included (J code). The regulation range of the low-pressure (L) type is not published in our data, so confirm it with us along with the flow curve.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and the flow your application needs and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.
K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, so air flows from the filter-regulator to the outlet but downstream pressure cannot push back through the unit. Models without the K code have no check valve.
