The AirTAC GFR40015LJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/2 in Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015LJNT is a filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure regulation combined in one body, so a single 1/2 in NPT connection does both jobs. This configuration carries the standard 40 um filter element and a differential-pressure drain, which bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough, so no manual draining routine is needed. It is the low-pressure (L) type, and it is supplied without a gauge and without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part in the GFR400 size. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, 40 um or 5 um (W) elements, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, gauge options and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fixture clamps and swing cylinders that must be held at a reduced, controlled pressure rather than full line pressure suit a low-pressure type filter regulator, with the 40 um element keeping scale and pipe debris out of the clamp valves.
Heat-seal and forming stations on packaging lines often run at a set pressure well below the main header. One GFR400 body filters the air and holds that setting, while the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate out of the sealing actuator supply.
Positioners and pilot actuators on process valves need clean, regulated air at a modest pressure. A 1/2 in low-pressure filter regulator at the valve take-off protects the pilot hardware and the differential-pressure drain handles line condensate.
Step up through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 as your port size and air demand grow; this unit is the 400 size with 1/2 in NPT ports. Drain choice is real: differential-pressure (as fitted here) drains on pressure differential, automatic (A) drains continuously, and manual (M) needs an operator. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W for finer protection. Gauge (square embedded or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scale), bracket, reverse/check valve (K) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are all decodable options; this code has none of the gauge, bracket or valve options fitted.
Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves and not as a single rated number, we do not quote a flow figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet and the flow-curve sizing for this 1/2 in unit on request.
L marks the low-pressure type of regulator, intended for controlled settings at the lower end of the pressure range; the exact regulation range for this type is not published, so we confirm it on request. The N in the code means no gauge is fitted - you can order a GFR400 variant with an embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scale if you prefer.
