The AirTAC GFR40015MJC2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015MJC2TK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one unit that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady at your setting. This configuration is tapped 1/2 in NPT, carries the standard 40 um filter element, and drains the bowl manually, so an operator opens the drain at routine intervals. Regulation covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). It is fitted with a round pressure gauge reading in psi and a reverse/check valve that helps hold the downstream setting if supply pressure dips, and it is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options including automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), G (BSPP) or NPT threads, alternative gauge scales, and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the shop-air feed to a CNC machining centre's pneumatic tool changer and clamping circuit, with the check valve helping hold the setting through supply dips.
Conditioning air for the cylinders and actuators on a carton or consumer-goods packaging line, where manual drain checks are already built into the shift maintenance routine.
Supplying regulated, filtered air to diverter gates and stop cylinders along a conveyor system, with the 1/2 in port serving the main branch feed of the line.
Size the unit by port and expected flow: this model is size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port, and you can step up or down a size if your line sits near the edge of the flow curve. Drain type is a real choice: manual drain (this model, code M) needs periodic operator attention, while automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drains suit unattended installations. The 40 um element is standard; specify W for the 5 um grade where finer filtration is needed. The round gauge on this unit reads in psi; an embedded square gauge and MPa or bar scales are the alternatives. G (BSPP) and NPT threads are order options against the PT standard, and a bracket can be added where this no-bracket version needs panel fixing. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your line pressure and expected air demand and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this exact unit before you order.
The M in the code sets a manual drain: an operator opens the bowl drain at intervals to clear collected water. If the unit will run unattended, the same GFR400 size is available with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain instead.
