The AirTAC GFR40015MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MJC2WTK is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a manual drain on the PC bowl, a round external gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve fitted. The standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with this manual-drain version, and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered, regulated air feeding the tool-clamp and chip-clearing circuits of a machining centre, where the 5 um element helps protect precision pneumatic components from fine particulate.
Supplying consistent pressure to the diverters, pushers and sealing cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled line clean-downs.
Conditioning shop air for lab benches and pneumatic test rigs, where the psi-reading round gauge gives operators a direct local pressure reference and the check valve holds settings against backflow.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port suits lines with substantial air demand; step up or down through sizes 200-600 as your flow requirement changes, remembering that flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so we can confirm sizing against your application. The 5 um element (W code) is the right choice when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. The manual drain means an operator opens the bowl drain periodically; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain codes if you would rather not rely on routine attention. The round gauge here reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternative order codes. This unit is the NPT-thread version; PT (standard) and G (BSPP) threads are available as separate codes, and this J-code configuration comes without a mounting bracket.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so no one number can be quoted honestly. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and allowable pressure drop, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M code in the model means the PC bowl is drained by hand: an operator opens the drain to release collected water and contaminants. If you prefer not to rely on routine attention, the same size 400, 1/2 in NPT, 5 um configuration is available with automatic or differential-pressure drain codes instead.
