The AirTAC GFR40015MJF2GK AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MJF2GK is a GFR400 series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in one compact body, so a single unit conditions the air before it reaches cylinders, valves and tools. This configuration carries a G1/2 (BSPP) port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, the standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, a reverse/check valve, and no mounting bracket. It handles a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), adjusts outlet pressure from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and operates from -5 to 70 C in non-freezing conditions.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, an external round gauge, G or NPT threads, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning at the machine tool: water and swarf-laden particulate are stripped from the shop air line and the spindle-clamp and tool-changer actuators receive pressure held steady at the set point, with the psi gauge giving the operator a direct readout.
Feeding the pneumatic cylinders and stopper gates on a carton packaging conveyor, where the filter-regulator keeps sealing and clamp actuators on clean, regulated air and the check valve holds the downstream circuit if upstream supply dips.
Supplying spray guns and air-assisted applicators in a body shop booth: bulk moisture and dirt are removed before the gun, and the regulator lets the painter dial in working pressure at the station with the square gauge in psi.
Start with size and port: the 400 size steps up in port and flow capacity from the 300, so match the G1/2 connection and the air demand of the circuit before committing. Drain choice matters here - this unit has a manual drain, which suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl on a routine; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain codes if the unit will be left unattended. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W option if finer 5 um filtration is required. The embedded square gauge is fitted in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are order options. Thread is G (BSPP) on this code - PT is the standard thread and G/NPT are catalogue options to order - and the J code means no mounting bracket is supplied.
Flow for this family is published as curves, not as a single rated number, so we cannot quote a rated flow figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port arrangement and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M code means the polycarbonate bowl collects separated water and must be drained by hand - there is no automatic bleed. It suits stations that are visited regularly, such as machine cells or booths with a maintenance routine. If the unit will sit unattended, ask about the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain versions of the same GFR400 unit.
