The AirTAC GFR40015MJF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015MJF3TK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single body. This configuration is fitted for NPT1/2 ports, has a manual-drain bowl in polycarbonate, a 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge reading in bar, and a reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the standard-type regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) on this manual-drain version.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (code W) filter elements, gauge or no gauge, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the clamp and pusher cylinders on a carton-forming packaging line, with the manual drain cleared at shift start and the check valve holding the set pressure downstream.
Regulating supply pressure to impact drivers and air ratchets at a fabrication assembly cell, with the 40 um element catching pipe scale and rust before it reaches the tools.
Providing a stable, filtered air supply to a leak-test bench in a quality laboratory, with the bar-scale square gauge giving a direct readout of the set test pressure.
Size 400 with 1/2 in ports sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range (200, 300, 400, 600); step up or down according to the flow your line needs, and let us confirm sizing against the published curves before you order. Drain type is a real choice: this unit is manual drain (code M), which needs periodic bowl draining and carries the widest 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range, while automatic and differential-pressure drains self-discharge condensate with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range. The 40 um element is standard; specify 5 um (code W) for finer filtration. Thread here is NPT; PT is the standard and G is also orderable. This unit is supplied without a mounting bracket (code J) and carries a square gauge reading in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. The fitted reverse/check valve (code K) prevents downstream backflow through the unit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your line pressure and required flow and we will confirm from the datasheet whether this 1/2 in size 400 unit is correctly sized for your application.
The M in GFR40015MJF3TK specifies a manual drain: condensate is released by opening the drain valve periodically. Automatic (A) and differential-pressure (blank) drains are available in the same size if you prefer self-discharge; note those versions carry a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range versus 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) for this manual-drain unit.
