The AirTAC GFR40015MLC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015MLC2 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single body. This size 400 unit is threaded PT1/2 and is the low-pressure regulator type. It carries a 40 um filter element, a manual drain on its polycarbonate (PC) bowl, an external round pressure gauge scaled in psi, and includes a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of drain type, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, embedded square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures - including the adjustment range of this low-pressure type - for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the air fed to spray guns on a finishing line: the 40 um element removes water and particles ahead of the gun, the regulator holds the set pressure the booth needs, and the manual drain lets operators purge accumulated water at the start of each shift.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to the pneumatic cylinders on a carton-sealing or wrapping line. The 1/2 in port suits the larger air demand of multi-actuator machines, and the psi-scaled round gauge lets maintenance set and verify line pressure at a glance.
Conditioning air on a loom or spinning-frame supply ring where a low-pressure regulated feed is required and 40 um filtration protects downstream valves and cylinders from water and debris in the mill air line.
Size and port: the 400 body is the larger step in the GFR range for higher air demand; this unit is ported PT1/2, with G (BSPP) and NPT threads available as order options. Drain: code M means a manual drain, so an operator purges collected water from the bowl; automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drains suit unattended installations. Filtration: 40 um is standard; specify W for the 5 um element where finer particle capture is needed. Gauge: this configuration has the external round gauge scaled in psi; the embedded square gauge and MPa or bar scales are also available. This is the low-pressure (L) regulator type - its adjustment range is not published in our data, so confirm it with us. Mounting bracket is included.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure - send us your application details and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and the full datasheet figures for this 1/2 in low-pressure filter regulator on request.
Manual drain (code M) means an operator opens the drain to purge water collected in the bowl - simple and dependable where the unit is checked regularly. If you prefer unattended draining, the same size is available with automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain. On standard-type units the regulator adjustment range also differs by drain type; this low-pressure type's range is confirmed on request.
