The AirTAC GFR40015MLJC2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MLJC2T is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 400-size unit is built with 1/2 in NPT ports, a 40 um standard filter element, and a manual drain bowl in PC (polycarbonate). It is the low-pressure (L) type, so it is intended for circuits that run below standard line pressure; the exact regulation range for this variant is not published in our sheet, and we will confirm it on request. A round external gauge scaled in psi is fitted, and no mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, a 40 um standard or 5 um (W) element, gauge and scale choices, and an optional bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds and regulates the air to clamping fixtures and swing cylinders on a machining cell, where the fixture circuit runs at a reduced pressure set on the psi gauge.
Sits at the drop of a packaging machine's air supply, filtering condensate and particles from the shop air and holding a steady low setting for the carton-forming and sealing cylinders.
Used on a process skid where actuators and pilot valves are specified to run below normal plant pressure; the low-pressure regulator type sets the circuit and the manual drain bowl is emptied during scheduled checks.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports, so check it against your line size and the flow your circuit needs. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against the application before ordering. Drain type is a real choice: manual drain (this unit) needs someone to open the bowl, while automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate on their own. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code - pick 5 um only where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and a bracket can be added if you need panel or wall mounting.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your line pressure, downstream pressure setting and air demand, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The M in the code means the polycarbonate bowl has a manual drain: condensate collects in the bowl and someone opens the drain during routine checks, instead of an automatic or differential-pressure drain discharging it on its own. The L means this is the low-pressure regulator type, intended for circuits running below standard line pressure; the exact regulation range for this variant is not published in our sheet, so confirm it with us on request.
