The AirTAC GFR400C15ALC2W AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 5 um Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15ALC2W is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 400 size with a PT1/2 port (PT thread is standard; G and NPT are order options), a 5 um filter element (code W, against the 40 um standard), an automatic drain on the metal bowl, the low-pressure regulator type, and an external round gauge with a psi scale. No reverse (check) valve is fitted, and the mounting bracket is included.
It is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and with choices of drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, thread and bracket. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clamp cylinders on a machining fixture that hold at a set pressure below the standard range - the low-pressure type regulator and 5 um element keep the clamp circuit clean and controlled.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to heat-seal or vacuum-assist stations on a packaging line that run at reduced pressure, with the automatic drain clearing condensate between shifts.
Conditioning the air feed to laboratory benches or pilot-plant skids where instruments need 5 um filtered air at a controlled low pressure from a 1/2 inch supply main.
Choose the size and port against the flow your line needs: 400 sits above 300 and below 600, with the PT1/2 port decoded here. Pick the drain to match duty - automatic drain (this unit) empties the bowl without operator attention, manual drain relies on an operator, and the default is differential-pressure. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (W, this unit) where finer particulate removal matters. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales (this unit: round, psi). Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and the bracket is included on this code.
Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves and not as a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number here - send us your application and we will confirm sizing and the datasheet before you order. Note that this is the low-pressure (L) type; its exact regulation range is not published, and we will confirm it on request.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR400 flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow curves and check the 400 size and PT1/2 port against your demand before you order.
The L in GFR400C15ALC2W marks the low-pressure regulator version rather than the standard type. The exact regulation range for the low-pressure type is not published in the sheet we work from, so we confirm it on request. Everything else decodes normally: 5 um element, automatic drain, round psi gauge, PT1/2 port, bracket included and no reverse valve fitted.
