The AirTAC GFR400C15ALC2WK AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15ALC2WK is a filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus pressure regulation combined in one body. This size 400 configuration carries a PT1/2 (1/2 inch) port with PT thread as standard, a 5 um filtering element (the finer W grade, against the 40 um standard), an automatic drain that discharges collected condensate without manual attention, and a metal bowl. It is the low-pressure regulation type, fitted with an external round gauge reading in psi, and a reverse-flow check valve is built in. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, and embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a trim or sub-assembly line, this unit feeds low-pressure air to clamping cylinders at the stations. The 5 um element protects cylinder seals from particulate, the automatic drain sheds condensate without an operator visit, and the psi gauge lets line staff verify set pressure at a glance.
Laboratory coating rigs and pneumatic test benches running at reduced supply pressure suit the low-pressure regulation type. The external round psi gauge supports fine set-point reads, and the check valve keeps the rig circuit from being back-driven when upstream air is isolated.
On a water-treatment or process skid, this filter regulator conditions the pilot air supply to air-operated valves. The 1/2 inch PT port matches skid piping, the metal bowl and automatic drain handle condensate in duty cycles where manual draining is impractical, and the 5 um grade guards pilot valves.
Step up or down through the 200 / 300 / 400 / 600 sizes to match the port and flow path your line needs; this unit sits at size 400 with a 1/2 inch PT port. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic (as fitted here) where the unit is hard to reach, manual where you prefer controlled bleeding, or the differential-pressure default. Pick 40 um for general protection or 5 um (this unit) where downstream valves and cylinders need finer air. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and embedded square versus external round format are selectable, as are PT, G or NPT threads and the bracket. Note this is the low-pressure regulation type; its exact adjustment range is not published in the sheet we work from, so confirm it with us before ordering. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you commit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request, so you can size the 1/2 inch port against your actual demand before ordering.
This unit carries code A, the automatic drain, which discharges collected condensate from the bowl without anyone opening it - useful where the unit is mounted out of easy reach. The GFR series also offers a manual drain and a differential-pressure drain as decodable options; tell us which suits your installation and we can confirm the equivalent configuration.
