The AirTAC GFR400C15ALF2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 Low Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15ALF2K is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body. This size 400 unit is specified with a PT1/2 (1/2 in) PT-thread port, a 40 um standard filter element, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and the low-pressure regulator type. A square pressure gauge (psi scale) is fitted, a reverse/check valve is included, and the mounting bracket is supplied.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain, filter-grade, gauge, thread and valve options to suit the line. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning on a compressed-air drop feeding assembly stations: the filter stage strips water and chips from the header supply, and the low-pressure regulator holds a gentle, stable setting for sensitive actuators and air tools.
Mounted at the take-off feeding conveyor gate cylinders and diverters, this unit keeps carryover moisture out of the valves while regulating supply to the low pressures those cylinders run at; the automatic drain keeps the bowl clear on lines without a daily walk-round.
On a laboratory or test-bench air supply where instruments need clean, low-pressure air, the 40 um element and low-pressure regulator protect the rig, the psi-scaled gauge gives a direct readout, and the check valve prevents backflow into the circuit.
Size 400 with a PT1/2 port sits in the upper half of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs. The 40 um element is the standard grade - choose the W option (5 um) only where finer particulate protection is required. The automatic drain suits unattended duty; a manual or differential-pressure drain is available if you prefer controlled or demand-based blowdown. The fitted square gauge reads in psi; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and the bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this family as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code specifies an automatic drain: condensate collected in the bowl is discharged on its own, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations. Manual and differential-pressure drain variants are available in the same size if your maintenance routine prefers them - ask us to quote the alternative code.
