The AirTAC GFR400C15ALF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15ALF2T is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, a polycarbonate bowl with an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and the low-pressure regulator variant fitted with an embedded square gauge reading in psi. A mounting bracket is included. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, an optional 5 um element (code W), and gauge scale choices of MPa, psi or bar. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered and regulated air feeding the clamp and gripper cylinders on a palletizing cell, where the low-pressure regulator holds a gentle clamp force and the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the valves.
Point-of-use treatment at a 1/2 in drop on an automotive assembly line, cleaning plant air and setting a stable low supply pressure for air tools and fixture actuators at the station.
Supplying a laboratory or QA test bench where specimens or devices are cycled with compressed air at a controlled low pressure, with the psi gauge giving the operator a direct local readout.
Start with the port step: this unit is the size 400 body with a 1/2 in NPT port; step up or down through the 200/300/400/600 range to match the line size and the flow your circuit needs. Because the low-pressure regulator variant is fitted here, its exact adjustment range is not published in the standard table - tell us your set pressure and we will confirm suitability from the datasheet. Choose the drain to match access: automatic (as here) where the unit is hard to reach, manual where you prefer controlled blowing down, or the differential-pressure default. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W code for the 5 um grade if downstream valves or instruments need finer filtration. The embedded square gauge reads psi in this configuration; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT are catalogue options to order - this unit carries the NPT option. A bracket is included.
Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we do not quote one. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your line size and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code specifies an automatic drain: the bowl ejects collected condensate by itself, which suits installations that are mounted high or are awkward to reach. Manual and differential-pressure drain variants are available in the same family if you would rather control drainage yourself.
