The AirTAC GFR400C15C2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um, psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15C2 is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a PT1/2 (1/2 in) PT-thread port, a 40 um standard filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the bowl rises, and a fitted external round gauge scaled in psi so operators can read and set the outlet pressure directly. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits this size, and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with options including a 5 um (W) filter element, automatic or manual drain, embedded square or external round gauges scaled in MPa, psi or bar, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and bracket variations. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the relevant datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, pressure-controlled air to the cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming and sealing line, with the psi gauge letting line staff verify set pressure at a glance and the differential-pressure drain clearing condensate through the shift.
Conditioning the air feeding a small pneumatic press or clamping fixture, where the 40 um element protects valve seals from water and swarf and the regulator holds a stable clamping pressure between 0.15 and 0.9 MPa.
Serving as the branch filter-regulator on a 1/2 in air drop feeding tool-changer or workholding actuators on a CNC cell, keeping the branch pressure independent of the main header and the bowl catching moisture before it reaches the valves.
Choose the size and port step against the air consumption of the circuit downstream: this unit is size 400 with a PT1/2 (1/2 in) port, one step up from size 300 (3/8 in) and one step down from size 600 (3/4 in). Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (this unit, no action needed) versus automatic (A) or manual (M). Filter grade is 40 um standard as fitted here, or 5 um with the W code where finer particulate removal is needed. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, scaled in MPa, psi or bar; this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order. A mounting bracket is included.
One honest note before ordering: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a flow figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing and the datasheet curves against your required flow before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number for this unit. Tell us your operating pressure and required air consumption and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The C2 code on GFR400C15C2 specifies an external round gauge scaled in psi. The embedded square gauge is the standard fitting, and round gauges are optionally available in MPa, psi or bar scales, so you can order the reading style and units your operators prefer.
