The AirTAC GFR400C15C2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15C2WG is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in one body. This size 400 unit is fitted with a G1/2 port, a 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the bowl is polycarbonate, a mounting bracket is included, and no reverse/check valve is fitted. Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options include 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this unit is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use filter regulator at the machine inlet, delivering clean, moisture-reduced air at a set pressure to directional valves, workholding clamps and tool-change cylinders.
Filtered and regulated air for conveyor stop gates, pusher cylinders and carton-sealing stations, where a steady set pressure keeps cycle behaviour consistent across shifts.
Clean, pressure-regulated air to spray guns and air-assisted applicators, with the 5 um element catching fine particulate before it can reach the finish.
Choose the size by the port and flow step: 200, 300, 400 and 600 move up through 1/8 to 1 inch ports, so step up a size when your line needs more air. Drain options on the GFR are differential-pressure (this unit), automatic and manual - note the regulation range differs: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with the differential or automatic drain, 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W, as fitted here. Gauges come as an embedded square type or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options - this unit is G thread - and the bracket can be included or omitted. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your working pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The W in the code selects the 5 um grade; the standard element is 40 um. Choose 5 um where downstream equipment such as valves, cylinders or spray applicators needs finer particulate removal. Both grades are available across the GFR range, and the regulation range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) is unchanged.
