The AirTAC GFR400C15F3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15F3TK is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in one body. This size 400 unit is threaded NPT1/2, carries the 40 um standard filter element and a differential-pressure drain, and its standard regulator covers a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) setting range with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). A square pressure gauge scaled in bar is fitted, a reverse/check valve is built in, the mounting bracket is included, and the unit is rated for -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) with a PC (polycarbonate) bowl.
You are buying a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, manual and automatic drain options, a 5 um (code W) element option and alternative gauge scales. AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the air feed to spray guns and air-assisted atomisers at a refinish booth, with the 40 um element catching water and pipe scale before it reaches the finish while the regulator holds the gun supply pressure at the setpoint.
Supplying the cylinders and grippers that erect and seal cartons on a beverage plant conveyor, keeping the circuit pressure steady at the set pressure the machine builder specified.
Feeding fixture clamps on a machining centre, where the regulator holds the clamping pressure the fixture was designed for and the fitted check valve serves circuits that must hold between cycles.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step down to 300 or up to 600 depending on the air demand of your circuit, and we will check the published flow curves against your application before you order. The differential-pressure drain on this unit is the standard choice; automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are order options if your duty suits them better. The 40 um element is standard and a 5 um (W) element can be ordered where finer filtration is needed. The fitted square gauge reads in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. PT is the standard thread for the family and G and NPT are catalogue options - this unit is specified with NPT. The bracket is included (code J deletes it), and the reverse/check valve (K) is fitted.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet curves for this 1/2 in unit on request before you order.
This unit has the differential-pressure drain, which is the standard option. An automatic drain (code A) suits unmanned or hard-to-reach installations, while a manual drain (code M) is fine where an operator drains the bowl as part of a routine. All three are catalogue options across the GFR range.
