The AirTAC GFR400C15MC2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MC2K is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in one compact body. This size 400 unit has a PT1/2 port, a 40 um filter element, a manual drain for emptying the bowl, and a round pressure gauge scaled in psi. A reverse (check) valve is fitted, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread options to order. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the tool-change and clamping circuits of a CNC machining centre, where the 40 um element keeps water and swarf-laden condensate out of the valves and the psi gauge lets setters read set pressure directly.
Conditioning the air feed to pneumatic cylinders and diverters on a carton packaging line, with the manual drain emptied at shift checks and the check valve holding the set pressure if the upstream supply dips.
Serving as the point-of-use filter regulator on a 1/2 inch drop feeding an assembly cell, so one unit both dries and filters the shop air and holds a stable regulated pressure for the cell's air tools and fixtures.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of the circuit: this GFR400 unit takes a PT1/2 connection, and larger sizes give larger ports and higher flow capability. Drain type is a real choice: manual (as here) needs periodic draining by hand, automatic drains continuously, and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W; gauge scale is MPa, psi or bar; thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options; a bracket is included and a reverse/check valve can be specified (K). Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this PT1/2 unit on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain, so the bowl is emptied by hand at intervals. If you prefer the differential-pressure default or a fully automatic drain, that is a decodable option in the same GFR400 series - just tell us and we will confirm the right variant for your installation.
